Packaging guidelines

A delivery starts with a secure package. These guidelines help keep every handoff clean, stable, and ready for a careful pickup.

Draft foundation · August 14, 2026
01

Close and contain

Use clean, food-appropriate containers with lids that close securely. Place containers upright in a stable secondary bag or carrier.

  • Do not overfill containers.
  • Separate hot and cold items where practical.
  • Use leak-resistant secondary containment.
02

Make it carryable

The founder-driver must be able to carry the package safely with ordinary handling. Final weight, dimension and container-count limits will be configured by service area.

03

Describe special handling

Tell the driver what they need to know—such as keep upright—without including sensitive medical or relationship information in the package description.

04

Items needing a policy

Temperature-controlled, highly perishable, leaking, opened, fragile, alcoholic, regulated or otherwise prohibited items must not be accepted until a reviewed policy explicitly allows them.
